BACKGROUND
Ecofiso has designed a ceramic filter for water filtration that does not need additional parts to be bought and changed. The downside of this innovative design is that it contains a ceramic filter that can be difficult to wash. They company has struggled with pushing the product to the matrket as customers don’t know how to clean the filter and are scared to break the filter.
PROJECT
After an initial consultation call, I identified the opportunity of this product being offered as a service, I supported the company in identifying inputs and outputs to the product, then identifying actors that could support the re design of a product-as-a-service system.
This project remains a concept product-as-a-system design, as we identified that Finland was not the right market for this product. However, I provided a set of recommendations for implementing this model in countries with water quality levels that could require the need for water filters
